Jury Comments:
“The point system is interesting and good motivation to encourage people to walk. ” – Dr. Ally Lu
“The AJ Mid-city considers how different 15-minute zones are woven together to create a full 15-minute city. Repeatable comprehensive mixed use zones designed with landmarks at the center is an innovative approach to the 15-minute city that addresses access and mobility at the city level. This proposal separates major thoroughfares from walkable neighborhood streets and adds separated cycle tracks, crucial design solutions for a genuinely 15-minute city. It also highlights the importance of grouping a variety of services in close proximity. Overall the AG Mid-city addresses necessary criteria to be a 15-minute city. The presentation is visually rich with an interesting integrated neighborhood concept, however the explanation and specific details are somewhat confusing and unclear and should be developed further. ” – Clotilde Imbert

Jury Comments:
“Re-intertwine presents a classic urban design project that integrates different modes of transport, including cycling, and increasing green space and public space. It takes an interesting user-oriented approach to developing multimodal solutions for every user profile, using public transportation to get to different hubs in the neighborhood. While transport is an important element of the 15-minute city, this proposal does not address how this neighborhood connects to the rest of the city and too strongly segregates uses throughout. Presentation is clear and thoughtful, but should elaborate more on elements that make this redevelopment project part of a 15-minute city. ” – Clotilde Imbert

“It felt like there was something of Leonardo di Vinci in here, with the clear arcs and complex designs focused on ideas of curved designs. Neo-traditional streetscapes combine with loops of varying speed for different mobility uses. Beautiful diagrammatic presentation.” – Prof Rowland Atkinson
